A very good observation, but one that sadly, seems to be dying, far to many people in my view think that family values, manners should be taught at school, whereas when taught at home from an early age, it shapes and moulds a young adult to become a decent and valued member of society.

I agree, i think part of the reason in many cases is that the role of the family is now different , both parents are often working to provide for the family, children are often coming home to empty houses or with child minders , it's bound to have an effect on family life

Claudya, I never said that your threads were poor or that I was too clever for them and as for hurting you, that was never, ever, my intention, please forgive me if i did indeed cause you hurt, my humour may take some understanding and maybe it does not translate well to your native language.

I replied to your thread because you asked a reasonable question, just because I may disagree with one thread does not mean I carry that disagreement to another.

Lady, and I use that term loosely, get off your high horse, have the good grace to accept an apology given in good intent, I have not written anything in any thread started by you with irony, it is however ironic that you have used the word with such disregard for it's actual definition.

I have no opinion one way or the other regarding your origin, it does not enter this discussion, I do, however, have an opinion regarding manners, something that seems to have missed you by entirely.

For your information being ironic is not considered bad manners, far from it, but it does require some understanding.

Finally it is not really your decision as to who posts in a thread started by you or anyone else, as a member of CS, anyone can post in any thread in any forum.

Can I politely suggest that you sit back, and read a few threads, then you may get to understand how they work within this site.

Oh and as I don't hold grudges, should you start another thread I will in all probability, post on that one as well, with the humour and friendliness I attempted to do originally. You are, of course, at liberty, to try to belittle me there as well, but I fear it will be you who will appear the foolish one.lips

Yes, many people are terribly afraid of highly successful threads, it is intimidating when people have such resounding success.

I agree with you, he is an old dear. The good news is that I am an even older dear than him!

Gaan vorverts dear, and much success to you. Truly delightful to have you here!wine cswelcome drink pouring buddies
