I thought I knew how many countries/states use the euro as their sole currency.

I thought it was 14.

I was so wrong!

There are 15 countries that are members of the eurozone, but altogether 24 countries/states that use the euro as their sole currency!

Would anybody like to hazard a guess who some of these additional NINE countries/states are?

I'll give you two easy ones to start the ball rolling:

1. Monaco

2. The Vatican City

Only seven more to go............grin

At the moment there are only 15 member states in the eurozone, a further five have a formal agreement to use the euro and a further six use the euro without a formal agreement - ok, so that adds up to eleven extra (not nine) but two are overseas territories of France and in 'legal limbo' for some reason or other.

Kosovo is one of the six states using the euro without a formal agreement! thumbs up

I think Bosnia and Monenegro are others.
