When I was first dating I gave a boyfriend flowers ... he didn't even bother putting them in water and just let them die.
That was the first and last time I've given flowers to a man, but I have come to realize now it was the man who could not appreciate my gesture - the flowers were just the innocent victims.
Brings to mind the many times that I have sent cards and/or e-cards as well ... taking my time to find the perfect card .... sending it and never any acknowledgement that it was received and appreciated.
I will trying again after reading these responses ... so whether a virtual flower, a card and/or the real tangible object .... these are an expression of me thinking about this person.
