I love this thread cause you show yourselves completely niave. There is a War going on. Its for your souls. There is no middle ground. The word of God should never shame you. Gods Law is correct politically or not. Only some of us fight like soldiers while others are still trying to get a clue. And the best thing the Devil ever did was to make you beleive he deos not exits. food for thought

Modern day Christian persecution is prevalent. People of all ages are being persecuted for their faith. The Bible says that Jesus has called believers out of the world. We don't belong to the world anymore. John 15:19 says: "If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you."

The Bible tells us that before we came to Christ, we were part of the world and were blinded from the truth. In other words, we were inside of a lie, partaking of worldly activities. After we came to Jesus and decided to give our lives to Him, we immediately gained an enemy - the devil. His goal is to take our eyes off of Jesus and he often uses persecution to distract and test us. Jesus knew this was going to happen. In John 15:18, Jesus said, "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first." Jesus was even hated by the religious people of those times. In fact, it was the self-righteous people that ultimately wanted to kill Him.

Persecution because of our belief in God is a consequence of your choice to be on the part of the light. Persecution is a privilege. We impact others when we shine God's light into the world.

Now Are you A Wimp or are you even Strong enough to be one of Gods Soldiers. As for me Ive always liked the rough stuff and the Devil and me will be goin round and round but he will never change my mind.

I believe you both have contempt and intolerance of each other's beliefs. Not a very Christianlike attitude or an Atheistic one. If you truly disbelieve, than you should not be offended by someone who does. If you truly believe, than tolerance of others should be practiced. Did Jesus wander the land ridiculing people for their beliefs? (Tolerance does not equal acceptance or confirmed belief.)

Belief as mauicat stated in her profile is a personal issue. As a society we should avoid personal attacks. Naive or paranoid, we all need to practice tolerance and understanding...

who got attacked now?

I see a few harsh words..but, seems prety tame so far?

good. glad to se it.

tolerance is a good thing...maybe, no matter the beliefs, or religions... it's the folks who should have control over themselves, and how far they'd go to force a belief on another...
not all do that, but I've come across many...

I do think more people are questioning formal religions, and even those inside church try to look at modern day as opossed to earlier, ignorant thinking.. gotta give them that, really...

myself? no. Already stated mine...

As wordy as Z-man is, that was what he was saying -- showing respect is good netiquette and follows the forum rules.

As for intolerance, that is part of the definition of a fundamentalist:

"A usually religious movement or point of view characterized by a return to fundamental principles, by rigid adherence to those principles, and often by INTOLERANCE of other views and opposition to secularism."

Deadman,

I knew I loved you for some reason kiss

You have said it all.

Everyone has a right to feel as they wish as long as they do not intrude on another's space or is abusive.

That is what makes this a big colorful world.

I agree with this. I don't know if you would call it "fundamental", but I seriously don't believe that God wants anyone hating or killing anyone, much less going to war over religion. Sure, I even apologize to Him if I have "wrong" thoughts. BUT, I don't tell anyone else what to believe, so I really resent it when others try to force me to go to their church, and "do like I do", especially when there are so many "christians" that are so mean. Not much difference between radical Christians and any other radical group.
IMO, a true fundamental Christian should be someone who does their best NOT to incite hate, fear, etc. Live and LET LIVE.
