I'm well into my 5th day (I think)....and am in great shape....no problems here...except that I wake up at 5 and cough up stuff....my lungs are cleaning themselves...

Still coping although I hid myself away for the weekend. Still have the cravings but telling myself to get on with it.

Hey Mister,
I started the champix thing. I had to give it up after a short time because it really made me feel yucky, but it got me through the first 3 or 4 days of no smoking at all. I needed to get over that hump. It is a bit freaky though. If you can do it without, try.

Just go cold turkey..lock myself away for a few days and bite my nails...I've really never tried. But I know I'm not doing myself any favours by smokin'..I'll give it a shot next week..Can't have any mood swings this weekend..

I'm going cold turkey mate....just watch the video...get scared, build up a true fear and loathing for a brutally ugly death of humilation, unbelievable agony, and degradation, then make up your mind you have to do it, because life without health is simply not worth living....then simply stop....everytime it gets tough, stop and analyze your feelings, and ask yourself this question: Who has more control over your body?....Big tobacco, who has been enslaving the world's population for centuries, and growing very rich on our sickness and addiction....or you??...then go watch the video again....take a look at your mutt, and figure out wether you want to see your grandkids or not. It's really quite simple. Cold turkey, and a good dose of logic. The best way.

I am sure it is different for everyone, but for me, I find myself generally calmer overall and much less hyper. I am quite hyper normally. At work I am not always thinking about how many more hours before I can go out and sneak a smoke, which keeps me calmer. But (and a big but), I can fly off the handle now super quickly without even knowing that it is coming, which is also a bit scary. My motor will be running at 20 all day long and I am laughing and smiling, then something tiny happens at 8 at night and I zoom up to a 120.
