Never allowed anyone to beat me nor have I needed to drop kick anyone..... but I do throw plates when riled, so the cardinal sin would be.... not being a good ducker if you happen to have a deep need to lie about every little old thing angel devil.

smoky: Maybe "cardinal sin" means different things to different people?

Personally, I would rate the most hurtful, possibly unforgivable sin, against myself, as Betrayal. For someone to betray one means they deliberately set out to mis-represent your confidences and trust in order to destroy you with their words and covert actions backing up their deliberate lies.

To me, this is the action of a person who has the moral fibre of a primitive reptile, and no amount of apology or supplication would reverse my opinion of that person.

I`ve had this done to me, and although it was many years ago and water under the bridge, I still shudder should a thought of that person cross my mind.

Wow Smokey, trod the same path.Let me enlighten you a little.

My first ex was not only unfaithful but to make matters worse was spreading very malicious lies about me.This went on for about a year,me only becoming increasing aware that something was amiss as close friends and family started to act very cold, and even aggressive towards me.Noboby actually came out and said anything against me,but it was clear all was not well.I tried to tackle my ex about this but she not only professed innocence but even tried to convince me that it was all my head. Still being deeply in love with her and not wanting to believe the worst I actually began to question my own perceptions and in the end my own sanity. Then one day I had this crazy idea, bug the phone.I was in tears buying the kit at my betrayal, but as the security guy said,it may help to reveal what is really going on and or give you peace of mind.

So I set everything up and away we went for a short holiday.Right in the middle of the holiday she declared that she had to travel back home for dental treatment. She was gone three days then returned.A week later we all went home. I retrieved the tapes and went to a local quiet spot to listen in my car.

MY GOD!!!!!!The depth of the betrayal was too much. The weekend she went home was in fact to be with her lover(her boss). On top, calls to her best friend and her sister were highly insulting lies.I listened too much and went down big style (which I,ll not talk about here thankyou).I really ought to have been sectioned, yes I was that bad.Only the love of the most wonderful mother, brothers and sisters saved me.

Ten years later she called me to say sorry !!!!!Sorry, that,s what you say when you bump into somebody in the lift. But this!!!Still find it difficult to talk to her and only so at a minimun and for the peace of our kids.Won,t bore you with the second one, a bloody sight worse but better dealt with due to my earlier experience.banana

Well now there,s a funny thing. My Spanish ex ran away to the coast when she realised that I was on her case and called me to tell me to leave the house she didn,t want to be with me anymore.A female student gave me a lift from the house to a local hotel and she,the ex, told everybody that I had told her I didn,t love her and had gone off to live with another woman.Sick or what.Good job we can laugh it off Smokey.banana banana banana

No no no ... I have always been most polite to rude people, especially when I detect a lack of brain-cells, which is not realy their fault - maybe they live in an area of buried toxic waste or something - or drink artificial hormones in their water.

You see, not everyone is capable of having "normal" type conversations - some appear to believe they gotta try some sort of shock-tactics, but what they dont realise is that what is shock to them is just like a bit of drain water dripping to others - nothing to get excited over.cheers
