Play guitar in a band, but we haven't had much live experience. We're all somewhat stage-shy I think, but we're keen! Still trying to think of a name though!
I was in a few, one called the "Muskrats" and another "red robins", which changed the name to "Black Alley Cats". So I was only 10 and beating on pots, but it counts!
I played Guitar at my parents 25th wedding anniversary, Ohhh what a night, Drummer started off great, next to turn and face the crowd was me, feeling good until I turned, then the neves kicked in,
let's just say I will never be up there with U2: laugh:
Stil hasn't put me off though, some years later came 6th in a talent show, pity there only 6 in it. haha
Just played first gig with band. I never realised how hot it is on stage! God, it's like a sauna, even with just a few lights! Poor bassist was dripping with sweat!
Mac & The By Ear Five - Banjo, harmonica, lead vocals. Played mostly bluegrass, folk and country in whomever's garage we could hide in.
Problem was that we drank when we played and the more we drank, the better we THOUGHT we sounded... Until one guys' girlfriend taped us one night and made us listen to it the next morning - That was over 20 years ago and we haven't played together since!
The band was called Smokehouse, I played bass and a few backup vocals. We were a 3 piece band. Then in 1980 added a keyboard/guitar player. Did a lot of Jeff Beck, Stones, Streetwalkers, Family, and other such band covers. Also some original material.
