This year, it's going to be taking my sons over and building my best female friend's desk. She's injured and can neither do it herself, nor help, and she was having so many problems with the company that was supposed to send someone to do it, that she cancelled their set-up service. So...I'm her set-up service now...and my sons will be our heavy laborers as they move furniture and carry boxes in.

I took her out to eat and shopping and then spent the evening watching movies just so she wouldn't have to be alone. When she got home she found I had slipped a Helen Steiner Rice book of friends poems into her purse.
