never been married so never needed a divorce... the whole thing seems convoluted and misconstrued to me....
and so many really wonderful women got lost and taken for granted to such an extreme it took them years to find their authentic selves back again....
that my ladies is the most precious and valuable thing we have and honestly how often do you see women giving up of themselves for a man that has no level of equality with them!!??
we are taught to bend over to sacrafice to go in knowing we will not be treated as equals.....
I was one of them and that is why after almost 9 years haven't found the right guy, picky? I don't think so; it was a hard lesson and took me years to find myself again! But unfortunately for me it is everything or nothing don't know any other way to love someone.
Exactly. Shoulda, coulda, woulda's. Now in a perfect la la land world, if marriage was something set in stone and forever blissfully delicious, I'd do it again tomorrow. Stereotypically not the case, therefore, DONE.
Don't mistake this as an opinion of bitterness, a scorned woman, and all those other less than charming terms. Not the case. It's just simply no longer for me. Theorizing I can make a wholehearted stab at stability without the meddling of church and state.
oooooooooooooooh theres that evil twin showing herself again!!!
I do believe there are men out there that can treat us as equals...BUT...what exactly do we consider equal? my man may be better at one thing than i am...or me than him...would we feel that if he takes over the yard work that we are being treated as unequal? do we want him doing the laundry and making the whites pink? (yes i know men can do laundry, this is an example people dont flip ur lids) or are you basically talking about money and decision making? seems to me thats usually where marriage problems come from.
Alex, I have faith he does exist. I believe that there are members from the other gender who also have being hurt and despite that they are still looking for the same as we do. I believe it can be possible because I have seen it in member of my family and people around me and not all are old people, it is true is not always a bed of roses but they have fought together when bad time comes to make it happen and have succeeded. Isn’t that the reason we are all here for? The belief that person is out there somewhere!
"Isn’t that the reason we are all here for?" Let me rephrase not all but some of us, the other part the reason why most of us are reluctant and perhaps scared of marriage.
im not scared..i just want my ONE dammit!!! or hell TWO so the twin Alex brought out in me has a mate too! the voices are on their own though...
i just want to find someone perfect for me...not perfect, but perfect for me...and live happily ever after IS THAT TO MUCH TO FRIGGIN ASK FOR????????????????
