It's okay, we're all human, and all of us make mistakes. To answer your question, I look for honesty; an open mind; tolerance; compassion; a good sense of humor, including the ability to laugh at themselves; strength of character; self esteem without arrogance; a love of children and dogs...and someone that I can trust and respect, who will do the same with me. A man I can have totally open communication with, and trust that he is just as open with me. A deep spirituality not tied to dogmatic religion. Intelligence, curiosity, and love of life in general.
I found all of this, and so much more that I needed, in the man that holds my heart now and forever...and we're patiently letting our future together develop as we fall deeper in love every day.

Now, I'm confused, did you mean a combination woman/man in equal parts or more of one than the other...
I just stay away from any that are of mixed gender, thank you..

The first thing I notice is PERSONALITY. If it stinks, it's all down hill from there!

I agree that one of the most important elements to attraction is someones peronalitty, it doesn't matter how beautiful you are, ugly on the inside will always shine through.
But there does have to be an element of physical attraction, I have dated men who I was not physically attracted to based on their personalitty and it doesn't work.
Most importantly for me, I can't be with someone who doesn't see me. What I mean by that is that I have several personalities i show to certain people and don't show myself right off the bat, if they can't see past the show I put on and delve a little deeper, I know it wont last.
They also have to be able to laugh at themselves and take a joke, I can't stand people who take every joke as a personal attack.
And NO and I mean absolutely NO drama, if he causes drama, he causes me to leave!

i go for a man who is kind ,not just to me but to others , someone sensitive ,determined, who respects me , i dont like rude men or anyone false , love a man to be himself and not one who pretends to be what he thinks i want him to be , i cant stand anyone possesive or domineering . hes got to let me do what i want but also want to share things with me. kind . also hes got to share my interests and most of my values and opinions about the things that are important to me . someone lively who likes to go out and enjoys lots of things ,interesting to talk to and likes taliking to me
