Have you ever thought that it might be most positive to one's personal development to learn how to love each other on this forum in the place of insulting each other?

Well...............yes. How else can "we" get to know someone else? As the saying goes, "you get more with honey than vinegar", and that includes the "more" of a person and how he/she is IRL. I don't really want to know, intimately, someone full of spit and vinegar!

I try to live by this philosophy: "Quarrel not at all. No man resolved to make the most of himself can spare time for personal contention. Still less can he afford to take all the consequences, including the vitiating of his temper and loss of self-control." Lincoln

I agree, and do my best to stay out of the arguments and negativity on here, but it's my personal choice. I agree that if everyone would remain positive, it would be a happier place, but then I also think it would lose some of its interest. Variety is the spice of life, and we are all only human, after all.

How the Dickens can you "love" images on a screen...? How can I "know" that they're "real"....?

We do love each other. You only fight with people you care anything about. We worry about each other if we do not see somebody online for awhile. We ask has anybody seen this person or that one. Those of us that know what is happening ask about family members, successes, failures. Illness or just send out a hug if someone is sad. We may ask somebody in private for advice. We care about each other.

I think there must be ESL - "English as a Second Language" courses that might be useful in your country for you at the advance levels, in order for you to understand what is being said between the lines. To help you out since you missed the point, completely , there is no mention of loving a picture or a person in my question. My asking all members in this forum to be descent to one another by asking loving questions and not insulting each other, is case in point with your comments. Did this clarify your lack of understanding at all? Perhaps this will give you some peace in your heart when dealing with others.

Sir, you have just lost your credibility.
It's so hard to fake one's personality, so I don't even try!

I would ascertain that you have not read my profile based on your response to me. I was a language professor for 9 years in university and people often misunderstand the use of language. Without pointing fingers, my question is simple, in that, I am looking for positive people with good attitudes to be descent and humble with each other when communicating with each other on the forums. Take the hate out of your comments and the world will be a better place. It is simple...
P.S. I am not looking for credibility, I am looking for a positive, good attitude woman to start a life with and not negative comments. If all that you know is negative, then Norman Vincent Pale with his "The Power of Positive Thinking" book might help you in your quest for personal development. Personal development is free and power when exercised. Be free with your positive comments and praise and refrain from nasty hateful responses. The world will become a better place.

The man you attacked is English, so spare me the lecture. I am not interested in you, or anyone who has no sense of humour.

Being someone who actually listens to people with compassion is hard work. Insults are a dime a dozen.
