If you couldn't at 18, you still have a chance of doing it now. Our minds certainty are calmer and less taken up with the turmoil of growing up now, so it is easier to concentrate on learning.
that is why mature students usually do very well. They apply themselves to the task in hand. So no excuse.
I can, and do, do things now, including my pet-hate..mathematics, that I thought I could never do in school. Most things are possible with the correct mindset.
