Age Difference (50)

Hi all,

This has probably been posted before but this is my first post so give me a break :)

I am curious about the general consensus of what an acceptable age difference is. I suppose there is no rule and it depends on the 2 individuals so I will be more personal. I am 43 soon to be 44. I would prefer to date a woman around the age of 30. That does not mean I would not date an older woman because I would. I am only wondering if that is reasonable or am I off track? For myself age is not all that important and has more to do with maturity.

What do you all think?

Well i think age is just a number....and ..life is too short...

my girlfriend is 22 ...and we both feel there is no "gap"..perhaps because i teach her guitar ... i disco ...i catch fish and cook and still out jog her...lol...

it depends on you dude....don't be shy ..its an international dating site.....filled with adults of all ages and sizes and personalities...

JMO 10 yrs younger or Older. This way you might have some things in common. My uncle and his wife were 17 yrs a part and were the best example of how two people should keep a healthy relationship.
they had the same morals, and goals besides the love, trust and respect.

I here what the both of you are saying. I sometimes feel a little awkward sending a message to someone quite a bit younger. No offence to the caucasians but that is why I like Asian women. For the most part they just want someone that will treat them right. Caucasian women want that too but they prefer men close to their age. It goes both ways though. My father remarried a woman 16 years older. They have had a happy relationship but the older they get the more noticeable the age gap is.

I know we should not worry about age because it is a number, and even though most of us say it's not a problem, we still deep inside wonder about the way we will be judged. I had though meeting males with in the 10 yr range older and younger would be alright. As one friend pointed out, a male 10 yrs older than myself, was not as youthful. I did not understand until I had met a couple of males in the 60 yr range.

In my family, it was taboo to be with a male younger than yourself. I have a friend that is 11 yrs younger than his wife, and they are a great couple. It depends on the both of you and how you are with each other that should count.

As for preferring Asian women, do not apologize. I know some women that prefer either darker skinned males, latino, or some other nationality from their own. If it's a healthy relationship do what is right for you.

The person I am with ... I might have over looked him if I looked for a certain type or what I thought the guy should look like. We are a good match, but he is also great with my parents and my sons. You might find what you are looking for when you lest expect it. :-)

lol. It would be interesting to know what the girls thought of my photos but really that does not matter to me. I know I am not the most handsome guy but I am OK with that. Not everyone is born with good looks. I am comfortable with my shell and interior and that is all that matters.
I have heard that some younger women find older men attractive. That is good to know, :)

Doesn't matter to me too much.
Usually date older men though. Think the oldest was 14 or 15 years older than me. We got along great at the time and still do. It's all in the mind and the behaviour......

I would prefer to date a younger man, at the most 10 years younger. They seem to have a little more stamina. And no older than 5 years older than me. But boy do I ever get a lot of mail from much younger men. Youngest so far has been 18 .YIKES...a baby.
