My most favourite food is South AFrican Boerewors and Pap, smothered in butter! Thank goodness I cant get that here cause I would then be FAT!
Next favourite ..... local free range sheep rib chops cooked to a frazzle .. dry and crispy ..... with Polento smothered in butter.
Next favourite ..... ANYTHING that doesnt have red blood in it. Preferably soft white cheeses and Roggen bread toasted crisp.
Now I`m hungry and going to find something to eat!

the best thing I've eaten recently is pizza baked in a wood oven - a wood oven makes all the difference to pizza. I've also recently eaten fresh mozzerella made with buffalo milk - in a panino (sandwich) with prosciutto crudo - and granita al limone in Sicily. I think the key to eating good Italian food is to stick to regional spacialities - we have granita here in Lombardy, but it isn't the same ... one thing that is good everywhere here is the ice cream.

curiously, in this heat, my body craves any food or drink that contains lemon ..

I don't have a favourite food..I'm simple, if there is hole in my belly..I'll fill it with the nearest food thingy at hand...Plant, animal or man made soya stuff...

Will definitely have dinner with ya....
....Lambros fish and chips.....yep
....Spent this weekend with my Cypriot friends in the village at Chirokita and got thoroughly spoilt... they cooked Lamb Souvla in the clay oven (he actually covered the mouth of the oven with bricks and daubed it with a sort of damp clay to seal it and left the meat to slow cook in its juices with potatos for hours... yummy) ....
... Love apple crumble with ice cream or custard... I can eat by the bucketful.... failing which I willl have some of tomboygirl's haagan daz ice cream..
.... would substitute the dolphin steak for tuna or swordfish steaks (although would probably enjoy the dolphin if I wasn't told it was dolphin
)

I like sushi.
And whenever I'm in Antwerp, I go to a restaurant to have mussels cooked in Belgium beer. (only in season)
but a simple meal with french baquette and garlic butter and wine suits me fine as well...
