here in my room

it seems only moments
of time have passed
since you joined
the angels caste

i remember you
many years ago
you were my angel
that i wouldn't let go

i told you ''i love you''
each and every night
asking god to see you
in the morning light

i long for the times
that we were so happy
not giving a care
about anything

if only the lord
would give you back to me
my heart would be healed
and my soul so happy

i know that this
can never be
for the angels have you
instead of me

i pray you're happy
in heaven above
and for you i'll never
lose my love

and so my angel
i shed a few tears
and will see you soon
as my time draws near.
