Glowwe
Author: Unknown
This is how you were, young, free, and lean,
You moved my heart with words, and we thought no more,
I can walk to your door but never come in,
And move you to tears or you'll move me again,
Old folks they wait by the garden gate,
They used to ride bikes late into the night,
Now when I talk I hear you speak,
I still dream of you but I'm not full of dreams,
The sun came up and I wanted to shine,
We went on walking right into the night,
I will be alright, if I am the light,
I will be alright if you want me to glow,
If the devil comes he can take my soul,
If the devil comes he can take my soul,
If I keep my heart I will be alright,
If I keep my heart you'll still know,
When the sun comes up you will have to go home,
When the sun comes up you will leave me alone,
If I keep you in my sights, I will be alright,
So that I might, still think you won't go,
I wept for you when you went away,
But I am the night time and you are the day,
The gathering gloom had me consumed,
I will be alright if you still know,
The evening time is the only way,
For gathering nights to meet departings days,
I will be alright, if you still know,
That you are the sun, and I am the moon.
(This is how we remember the feelings when they come around,
With our hearts thrown over our shoulders,
Hoping they'd never be found.)

I still dream of you but I'm not full of dreams... This lovely, heart-felt write has much sadness and truth of love and loss. Thank you for sharing.
If I keep my heart I will be alright,
If I keep my heart you'll still know
This one seem so deep feeling
They are probably my favorite two lines too! :)
Be careful walking with the Devil when you're in love, he's likely to play some tricks on ya. Wonderfully written!!
