Extinction

Up by 9
Out the door
Fatty foods
And chalky liquids to get it all down

A few dollars an hour
Too many hours to count
For too little to live on

Abased as an emotionless android
Killing off the human
In the human race

Rent grows higher
Credit scores drop
Health falls apart

And forgiveness is a thing of the past
We grow automated
Sluggish

Doing the minimal things
Dragging our feet

At a time when there are no pick me ups

There may be billions of us
But we`re dying out

About this poem:
We`ve become a world dictated by automatic systems, fast food, and not caring about what other people really need. We`re dying out.
