Her darkest hour

She drys a tear with the
sleave of her dress
Her memories are but lonely
tears of days gone by
She writes his name on the
fog of her bedroom window
Her tea is spotted with gin
and she sways in memory of
all those passionate nights
A moment of joy, a moment
of pain all fuse into one
as she flops on her bed and
buries her face in a blanket
Mabey sleep will ease the sting
Mabey a new day will help burn
the pain out of her heart
If I could just hold her hand
If her sobbing eyes were snuggled
on my shoulder
If I could whisper the sweetness
I've so long kept inside
Mabey..just mabey..she would
have never cried~
