What happens to love

You fall in love when your young,
You party and hang just having fun.

Soon you marry and life is great,
You feel so alive, this must fate.

You start a family, hanging memories on the wall,
You never dreamed, that he would leave and drop the ball.

Pressure and stress brought him down,
you remember dancing on the weekends and tearing up the town.

You wonder how and why as you lay in bed at night,
All you remember is his arms around you holding you tight.

You were suppose to be by his side hand in hand forever,
Going through life's journey together.

Now your all alone after 18 years,
Picking up the pieces of your heart in tears.

You lay in bed every night in pain,
You want to run away and disappear in the rain.

You pick up and move on and try to forget,
Those 18 years and the day you first met.

You start to laugh and live again,
Looking for another to call a best friend.

Finding it harder to just find someone true,
who will make you laugh when your feeling blue.

Your open to meeting many new faces,
Dating on the weekends in differnt cool places.

You see a light at the end of the tunnel,
You want to go through another life's funnel.

You want to believe in that second chance,
You so want another fantasy love romance.

I know that pain and feeling loss for what's lost oh to well, and twice. I can tell you it hurts even more when you have no idea what the rhyme or reason was you are apart now. My first left and we have never spoken since. To this day I don't know why. I ran into her 10 years later one day by chance in a store. She was still mad, didn't say a word even though I tried to get her to speak. I went about shopping for a couple minutes and went back. She left her cart and the store in a hurry. I found her cart with part of her shopping that she left by the register, but she was nowhere to be found. It took me a long time to heal and try again. I am still trying. Why does finding true love have to sooo hard and hurt soooo much.
