A Gothic Moonlight Romance

A Gothic Moonlight Romance

A Moonlit night upon us has come
Cursed if never to return and relive the moment some
Soft, quiet, slow movement upon the dew cool grass
Decadent and sweet allowing the darkness to pass

This may be wrong yet I only care about the rights
Let them curse me for loving you on these nights
For I will stay damned if the consequences of love
For it hurts too much to walk away from Heaven above

While the sweet scent of roses tickle our nose
Fingers dance amid roses that along the courtyard grows
Why must we fade to be as cold as a stone beach
When beneath the Moonlight at midnight love is within our reach

A sudden tender caress and turns of the head
Here with a rose garden for our lovers bed
Waves of desire carry us to happiness sureen
With loving eyes, midnight dew, splashed with a silver sheen

Take my heart
Own every part
While love endures
I'm yours!

About this poem:
I liked the way this lovers muse turned out. It was so easy to write as it just flowed so well.
