My Porcelain Rose (My Personal Favorite)

My Porcelain Rose
Jonathon Elias Crace

Our love was compared to a porcelain rose,
the petals that fell no longer grow.
I held on dear to the very last one,
hoping to see that you would not run.
Ill give you this somthing,
just promise me this.
you'll treasure it always as i do a kiss.

This Poem was written after my longest relationship (6years) I gave it to the one I was with, and she than promised never to leave me again. A week after we were happily engaged, her ex-fiance got out of prison and she left once again. This poem has more than just that simple meaning to it though, it is for those whom are searching for that one thing they want the most "Love" And when I say that I mean the real thing, not the things that others go to for comfort when they are hurt.
