I sit by the telephone Waiting anxiously for his call. How my heart beats with anticipation, Just to hear that familiar "Hi". Exchanging our day to day occurances, Speaking of nothing, but speaking the same. When his voice no longer on the other end, With the receiver back in place. My heart beats happily just knowing...he thought of me today.

About this poem:
Poem was written in 1981 about my first true love and he being my first lost love. I was just a young girl in love for the very first time.
I am so flattered by all the nice and positive comments. Thank you.

This is very good, you should do more poems, I find them interesting and better than others I have viewed, feel free to read some of my works here, I have around 40 poems including a multi part serial story poem entitled "Legend Of The Black Dove", it is a period-adventure story poem, I always like people's comments on my work, there are a lot I have written that are really great and some of my early works that look a bit modest, but that is all a part of poetry, it is all up to your own imagination and there is no limit in what you can achieve if you put your mind to it, good luck on your writing.
