Have had a hard time to move on. I find myself raging over things done to me over 30 years ago. It seems no matter what we choose, there are negative consequences that come. There are also positive things too. The ability to laugh at yourself perhaps is the best medicine.

sry to hear that. U have to let the past go otherwise it chains u and makes it impossible to move. Try to set some goals 1/ daily goal something easily achieved 2/ weekly goal 3/ monthly goal then increase both hardness and lenght this way hopefully u will leave the past behind Thinking of u
