**This Jaded Woman

Still masked in your florescent
And over exposed in your light
Sinking in the ocean of your skin
I sin
Tasting branded shoulders and saccharin words
Tracing black lines within the curves
Obscured by our tangible forms
Lost within verbs and nouns
Breaths and moans
Fears and risky thought

Like fingerprints upon my eyelids
Making riddles upon my lips
And tight grips
Which twist knots into your crimson stem

And again you grow dim with the vanishing day
While I obscure your being in my sheets
And grow weak without you

I am weak without you

I submerge into this distant place
Where your face is burned into the sky
And I’m still masked in your florescent
And overexposed in your light
Weak from the sight of your finery

I’m jaded, yet charmed
Becoming disarmed in your body heat
Twisting my legs beneath this sheet
I hold back

I hold back

As you pour over me in silence yet broken
Locking your jaw in the drone of the screen
I have seen your softness

So displaced in my darkness
