A Lake Somewhere

gentle the waves lap
circles in the water
as fish grab a fly
beauty surrounds me
mist swirls and twirls
silvery tree reach up
to skies of azure

peace of near silence
you can hear a leaf fall
deep blue and purle
the lake stretches out
enclosed by craigy hills
nestling happily in valley
clouds floating lazily by
far away from lifes woes

I sit and listen
to the pure notes ringing
as a blackbird sings its delight
let this lake remain in peace
far from the toils and coils
the rush and bustle of man
lets leave it to slumber

Hi Shadow

I'm not an angler, but your description of the lakes and hills (presumably in your neck of the woods) strikes a chord with me, the lakes and fells here in Cumbria are my haven and solace.
