I WANT TO STAND WITH YOU (video presentation)

MY HUMANITY CHALLENGE
Seasoned in time on life you repulsively forgetting
The gutter's and the alley's creatures crawling in your torn blanket
Did you pick it up from the new recycled bin of walmart?
Wet and chiseled with dew drops dancing lights into your eyes
Laid flat on the ground you seek to own if only for a while
While the sun warmed it up to provide comfort on your back
Yet the pangs of hunger coiling inside your guts
Would you stand up as if tomorrow is another day
That will raise your hopes far better than yesterday?
Oh but you never know really what is in store for you
Just as much as your mind wonders in the promises of tomorrow
I passed you by, yet not a forlorn look in your face
Smiling deeply contented on the morning haste.
I want to reach you deep down on your pain
Etched in your wrinkled unbathed face for God knows how long
But you looked away with a glimmer of tears in your eyes
As if to match the brilliance of the sun on the morning light.
Then.. I heard your voice, sweet and yet hollow
"Tomorrow is Christmas I can't wait to see the glow"
The glow of hope and light emanating from your deep sorrow
YOU MADE ME FEEL THE PAIN OF MY OWN TOMORROW.

The test of humanity resides in each moment that two souls touch one another; and, through that touch, hope for tomorrow can emerge. Thanks for sharing.
