A wolfs words

Under the moon, sitting on a rock
I call to my pack to flock
We will protect each other
without the help of any other

We live of the land
and have never needed a hand
until the day humans came
and made us their game

the land we call home
is no longer safe for us to roam
we roam as quietly as we can
but still we are hunted by man

leave us alone to freely roam
in the land that is our home
we kill only to feed to survive
leave us alone to be free and alive

we were here first, and you last
look and learn from history passed
we take no more or less than we need
but you take it all just for greed

so leave us alone to freely roam
in the lands we call home
make our freedom your task
it is not a lot to ask
