Walking down the path of life
Battling through life’s strife
Trying to avoid the cruel
Who want to wreck your life
The path of life is hard
Looking for loving words
To heal and bless my heart
A heart that has weakened
Weakened by the cruel
Always looking for a duel
The path of life is hard
An angel I wish to appear before me
To touch my heart with an angels love
To heal my soul with an angels hug
An angel to help clear my path of life
To rid me of life’s strife
The path of life is hard
