now i lay me down to sleep,
tears of sorrow i do weep.
thoughts of you run through my mind,
and hope that you wont leave me behind.
i close my eyes so weary,
to dream a dream so dreary.
i've said it over again, time after time,
I Will Always Love You, even after i die...

but your first sentence would sound better. . .

AS I LAY DOWN TO SLEEP
coz a slight error made
you try it and see for your self
tears of sorrow i do weep.
My advice would be to keep the first line like it is, it sounds much more poetic that way.
