RETIREMENT

There are beginnings and there are endings.
Our lives gave many beginnings and many endings.
The dreadfulness of starting anew when everything are as it should be.
The relief of an ending when everything were out of place.

In the beginning we work and toil to keep a roof over our heads, food on the table, and a nice bed to sleep. As minutes turn into hours, hours into days, days into weeks, weeks into months, months into years, our lives have come to an ending.

The new beginning is Retirement. It is welcome with open arms as there will be no more work and toil for our basic necessities. Some find this new beginning as a dreadful time as the images in the mirror have changed. The memories have lost its vitality, the bodies may hurt with aching joints, shorter posture, limited vision, hearing loss, and maybe isolation as the younger have their own beginnings and endings.

This new beginning of retirement will bring everything as it should be. There will be a community of folks like ourselves who will interact with each other telling the same stories over and over again. There will be younger people to care for us with hefty prices. If you were successful to earn millions, the younger will call dementia so it can give them conservatorship. Psssss, it’s the money that have their interest not you.

So the many beginnings and ending through life lead us all to the same place, Retirement. Retirement where our self-worth are lost and our hard earn monies are gone by others to provide questionable services.

So Live life to the fullest, eat, drink, and be merry, as tomorrow you shall die.

!!!!!To retirement.!!!!!

You cover all the main points well here Carlamee, I'm not retired yet but it's just around the corner. I intend to be one of those retirees that will stay busy and maintain good mental health.

Cheers wine
