Treasure Chest

As I walked along the beach
I came across something buried
opening the lid it gave a screech
then stuck until it was jimmied

Tentatively I looked inside excitedly
to my amazement it was full of scrolls
I opened and stared at them blankly
inside the scrolls were lots of bankrolls

Also some ancient treasure maps
what a find, I thanked my lucky stars
and there were no booby traps
I hurried home along the spars

Holding my treasure chest close
all excited I wondered who to tell
to which friend I could disclose
If not careful there would be a cartel

At last I decided not to share
I hid it away well out of sight
I did not need any fanfare
the notes I would spend in delight
