not that hard M.M the count is 8 syllabus per line 3 lines per verse but last verse is 4 lines lines 1 & 3 alternate through the 1st 5 verses then join to form last 2 lines of final verse. Odd lines rhyme with each other. Even lines rhyme with each other the poem must make sense in its flow and you got yourself a villanelle. Give it a go
Hi Shadow, I don't know how you do all these different styles. Me, i'm that dippy I didn't even know there were different styles. That shows the pro's from the amateurs. I'm in the amateur camp, it's much easier. You wont believe it I lost my horse at Cafe's castle, probably still walking around there.
