The Beauty of the Eye
Tis the opening of my eyes, when I look at you
that makes the day worthwhile
Your body’s warmth sleeping next to me is what
makes me want to smile
For you were heaven sent, this I know is true
Why else would I have fallen so deeply in love,
there’s no one just like you!
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder
and my eyes looked deep into your ever loving heart!
When I gaze into your eyes I see the love that’s living
there, love I want to share
When you look at me that way, you know that I truly love just you
The eyes of the beholder are very hard to lie
I relish deep sharing love
where life makes us want to laugh or cry!
They say the hand may be quicker then the eye
But the eye can see quicker the
true love for you that is in my heart!

The truth of love is in the eyes, it's in the shadow of smile there, it's everywhere - suffice to look around and above, and see.
Poems like this gave me inspiration to write:
The Shadow of Your Smile
The shadow of your smile starts there, in your eyes,
I wonder at the promise that your eyes in their deepness hide.
When sun with shadows that it casts on earth in clouds glides,
Playing seek and hide, as if those shadows were my plight,
The shadow of your smile lying deeply in your eyes
Engages me in dreams, sweet dreams of better life.
And when all shadows on sun’s bidding simply die
Smile’s there, in your eyes, like an amazing guide.
Its mere shadow may be promising of love I dearly strive,
Such smile that if the time is right and season’s bright
Does blossom in a way all flowers do when love is ripe.
