A simple Life!

A simple life!

Born to the country life and small towns, before the event of cars

A family knit together, where all helped one another to survive and to share life’s up’s & downs

Where babies born were greeted into the family
and loved by one and all

The doctor delivered babies in the homes and watched them grow from teenagers to adults

Where aged grandparents were revered and respected
For don’t we all grow old

Daily bread was shared in good and bad times

Where riches of the heart and mind were more valuable then riches of the purse

Work clothes more prevalent than Sunday clothes

Country dances were the highlight of the times

A wedding was the occasion of a neighborhood feast and dance

A young couples laughter and life’s tragedies were a part of the simple life of growing up

The country store and neighbors congregating with the gossip of the day

A tender kiss and gentle hearts that wife’s and husband’s shared

All of this was part of the simple life!

Simplicity of peaceful times, without the stress
of hectic modern pressures, Where the media brings to us the troubles of the world, that overcrowds ones mind.

I am happy that you enjoyed some of
the reflections of the past.

Take care
