To those looking for a shepherd
don't assume everyone is a leper
Perhaps it would be better to dance with a leopard.
Those who seek to fill the emptiness in their heart
and soul consider the depth of the hole and your
role to the measure you dug.

All we hope is for a gentle kiss and a hug
but most treat others like a bug.
Fear is what keeps people from touching so near
Distance long or short of many a port so many options
to sort.

Oh many complain of their pain of lost loves and hopes
we all share our drama and soaps.
Yet, I wonder does anybody really care always placing conditions
and terms making everybody aware that we silently cry behind
our swollen eyes, dash a little make up to cover up our lies?

Yet who am I to judge perhaps I'll make some fudge
and let things be. Nobody will care nobody will
lose any sleep over me.

Most will stop by to look at me and wonder
out of curiosity but beyond that they will
shrug their shoulders to think oh he is just
full of himself with vanity.

Pretty ladies of this unique world I see
within the CS fantasy and make believe
Many are fake wannabes.
Others who choose to stop by I wonder why
if they have nothing to say or nothing
that catches their eye.
I can only ask then what is it you seek of me?
I wonder what anyone seeks within this torrent
sea?
Are we hoping to find some fancy rhyme to feed our
heart sublime?
Are we seeking for love but don't want to put the effort or time?
Are we just wasting our poetic lines to pass the time?
I wonder indeed to consider the thoughts of love
and passion that many work hard to impede
to a lost generation clamoring in a stampede
to win the heart or favor of a lovely lady
or a nobleman of a great deed.
If so many cry for a love connection but build walls
to avoid rejection how can anyone expect to embrace
love's protection?
Love should not have to be this selective or be sought
with an objective.
Love casts out fears and hopes to wipe away our tears
Love is not self seeking nor has an ego to bruise
it only seeks to bring healing not to build a ruse.
So, if there are some who only measure quality based on
a face so fair but, never challenge the heart or fear to dare
then don't complain why nobody can find the love they hope
to share.
As for me I am here to find a hopeful love to care
I know she is out there somewhere. Yet perhaps I must
also look within to see she is everywhere.
