the silence of my soul

solemn as the silence
of my grieving soul
unencumbered by the wind
deep as my thoughts
that have settled within
the colored pages of our past
strong and exuberant
carefree and unbound
we savored the sensations
we were blessed and endowed
with divinity and purity
of what true love is...(was)
that was then-
now you are gone
you left me abandoned
sad and all alone
i will not complain
nor can i have you blamed
for it is how it is
and life is full of mysteries
and believe it or not
i enjoyed every bit of it
i can only hope
you did....
i can only thank you enough
for this memorable
time of my life.

it is how it is, and there's nothing we can do about it
