ON THE STREET

On the street and out of luck
alone, afraid and lost.
Wondering where to spend the night
and what will be the cost.

A product of a broken home
where love was never found.
Where curses instead of kisses
were always spread around.

Never told about Jesus.
No one could spare the time.
Never learned to trust Him.
Instead she turned to crime.

Is there a future? She doesn't know,
just living day to day.
Someone needs to find her.
Show her a better way.

Will you walk on by her,
like she is made of glass?
Will you turn your face away,
until you're safely past?

Is there any hope for her?
Is she too far gone?
Only God will answer that question;
from the great white judgment throne.

madeliene
wonderful poem and well written too. It realy made me think that i can't afford to pass anyone up for the purpose of telling them about Jesus. A lost opportunity is a crime. Keep writing my frien because we need to hear your heart's desires.angel sad flower
