The angel girl of my selfish youth, now lays and waits to die The only truth that I can believe, is truth to be a lie My days are filled with absent thoughts' my nights are filled with tears This fight she's told she can not win, the sum of all my fears Our fights seem all so pointless now, regret is just a word My soul has lost the sweetest song, my heart has ever heard Her beauty is now hidden, by sickness, weariness and pain Though my heart sees better than my eyes, the beauty still remains

This is a great poem, because it really made my heart sink in my chest. I'm sorry to hear about your wife. Thank you for sharing this poem, it shows a great deal of emotion, and the ending was beautiful.
