Close to You

Embedded image from another site

I’m going to get very close to you
I’ll get under your handsome skin
My magic will make you feel anew
Get your heart ready and let me in

Ever so slowly, sure and steady too
My feminine wiles cosmically abound
You won’t know what happened to you
You were a lost lover now you’re found

Give up your heart, offer it to me freely
This sensual love affair is waiting eagerly
Wrapped in total complete abandonment
Feel the awesomeness of this moment
Thinking of you I smile deeply, secretly
Thoughts of lovemaking replays frequently

Lighting the way as the fantasy begins
Lifting us higher soaring on Cupids wings
While faraway music plays on violins
Singing love stories of Queens and Kings

Connected bodies and souls never to depart
Get ready! Our love will be a work of art
Taking us on a journey into endless eternity
Possessing beauty and sweet peaceful serenity

Hi Jade

A very sensuous write, quite lovely! I recall when I first started writing internet poetry shortly after reaching retirement age, a lady head teacher told me emphatically: To be taken seriously as a romantic poet, one NEVER rhymes the word 'love' with 'dove'. professor

To this day day it pleases me to read really romantic verse where the author hasn't fallen into that trap.

A fine write.
