Clans of Old

'Twas a day of Winter's mist,
when two lover's met on Highlands cold.

Feelings mixed with tempered pride,
as Clans did fight the battle bold.

Shattered worlds did come to join,
with hearts that sang a simple tune.

As they were captured in endless love,
fate did arrive all too soon.

Softly whispered good-byes to many & few of his kin,
he held her close in long embrace for his freedom he must win.

Hear this my sweet she said once more...
"Men will fall for reasons few,
Shalln't go to war for in the marrow all is new."

Now only rains fall on the green sodden moss,
where worlds did meet & lovers lost.

Her forgotten words forever to linger,
in the mist of two lover's chambers and the echo's within.
