Goodbye summer

Goodbye Summer
Fading warmth of late summer sun beams refract through the looking glass, dust particles dance within celestial lights

The leaves of a willow tree listen to the sorrowful viaticum of the last summer breeze, a thousand butterflies rise as one to accept it's last rites

Dark clouds begin to mass upon the horizon, a foreboding presence rumbling above the earth, an angry omnipotent ethereal surf

Shadows crawl towards the setting sun, dragging behind them the cold dark shroud of night, a frigid cloak over a cooling corpse

A quicksilver moon ripples over an ocean as barren as the nights sky, the burning radiance of dying stars pin pricks on a chalkboard
