When winning is the name of the game But find your heart exploding And true messages are in hiding Be wary of truths for its beguiling
I fell in love with all the right reasons With a man so full of passion I worshiped the grounds he stepped on And true love we were both charmed
But as time passed and loved deeper White and light color became darker Passion and considerations disappeared Replaced with disrespect and fear
Love indeed has many faces If unguarded it can deeply blind us Inflictions of pain and sorrow follows Burying us in destitute
I'm careful now, I've learned well For life can become a living hell But as long as I'm alive l won't give up For there's true love out there waiting to be found.
LINDSY; I CAN SEE THAT YOU'VE HAD SOME ROUGH TIMES,BUT YOU PULLED THROUGH, AND I APPLAUDE YOU! TRAVIS

I was once told that the special all consuming passion of love, is best for an affair, because it never has to be tried and tested for life. Cannot go off the boil.... Whether unconditional love exists or not, we have to be very careful.....as love and hell can be divided by a fine line....that I do know....Kathy
Hi, lindsyjones, Sadly, as long as love is looked at as a game, there are no winners, only losers. It's good that, though one says, I'm careful now, I've learned well, one can also say, as long as I'm alive l won't give up For there's true love out there waiting to be found. What a strong ending. Thanks for sharing. P.S. Thank you for your comment on my poem...due to blocking, I was unable to send directly.
