it never pleases me to see you in pain, you said yet your keen ability to dissect the past and bare its ugliness never ceases to amaze me and I wonder if: the dysfunction of my past the failures I have been so good at my imperfections my irresistible magnetism to the misfits, the poor and the lowly was truly the core of your attraction to me? I kind of think, of course, it is, what else can it be? my ruthless efficiency? in exposing the illness of this one sick and cruel world? the callousness our society has become? and its penchant for insensitivity? inhumanity and selfishness? ahhh...if only you see my horror feel my pain and sorrow your eyes would bleed for the hunger of the world and its imbalance as the poor becomes poorer while the rich fills their coffers like there is no tomorrow
perhaps life indeed is a matter of luck... good and bad and soon there is no more you nor me, just emptiness unfathomable void
the decay and death of our one and only earth.

About this poem:
so tired of the games our world is set out to play
Lind....Can see you are looking back but also considering the woes of the world! Truly there is much that is wrong....it would be so uplifting to see a crusader get elected to office in this country, wouldn't it? Maybe if we could see the candidate who speaks of working for correcting the problems, lays out some logical and honest itinerary to do so...ah, the breath of fresh air and hope! Til then....take care friend.......Avias
