Unbreakable

Frost weighs heavily atop the firs
Its branches folding beneath
Although taut, they hold steady
Unwilling to break
They remain steadfast

The dawn peeks over the horizon
Though distant
Its warmth will shine upon the icy, unending
Heaviness
The frost shall loosen itself
And melt the heaviness away

Whereas the fir regains its proud stance
It stands taller after the frost
Declaring its refusal to be broken
It shall remain strong with its roots of...
Never backing down.

About this poem:
I had gotten a message very early one morning from a friend who was struggling at work. I wanted to write something to provide inner strength. I wrote this in under 5 minutes to get it to them as soon as possible. They thanked me for the inspiration later on that day. I enjoy writing. I enjoy being there for the people in my life, even if it's just with my creative writing.

Very inspirational - tempered steel by fire and steadfastness.
