"I Shall build me"

I am a prisoner of my own fate
I am also the key to setting "me" straight
For, I have free will which allows me to decide
what to accept and what to deny
And fate, she depends on the choices we make
"so be careful with your choices & the chances you take"
Knowing this I go "within"
educating my mind away from sin
Allowing the heart of my Soul to teach my brain
That; "The Soul is the threshold of the Spirits domain"!
Let this be "a truth" I share with you today
so that you may acknowledge; "Spirit's The Way"!
If ever I am to rise above
to experience Spirit's unconditional Love
Then I must replace the sins of an ignorant mind
by feeding off of Spirit: "My Spirit Divine"!
What it takes to become this kind of man
is first and foremost to understand
That anyone of human kind
can rise above their worldly mind
Further still, we all must yearn
to "Govern Self" with a desire to learn
To restructure our lives, to rebuild our "Selves"
to realize; "we are the problem", no one else
I am the only one guilty of my sorrow and pain
there is no one else I need to blame
"With the Power of Spirit I shall build me"
by correcting my attitude and setting Self free
My cross I bear with rightness & reason
never again being guilty of my very own treason
No longer will Spirit & Soul be torn
For I am that I am: "A Spirit reborn"!
