Communion

A family get together, invited all, a childs
communion, he's grown tall,
A pleasant day,, we hope you stay,,this
day to remember,,,the 8th of May,
The Irish weather has picked up,,sun is
shining,,, bouncy castles and big top,

And rebel songs they echo loud, greeting
the guests,,,entralling the crowd,
there's Luke , the chieftains,, and many
more,,, songs of Ireland we adore,

The dj listens,,,and takes her que,,
from the guests,,,,me and you,
She plays requests one by one,,
Sean or Pats favourite song,

And Avril floats from here to there,
like a butterfly Princess, lovely
and fair,
there's pleasant talk, and chat
and cheer,,I,wonder is,,,brother
here,,,,

The children laugh and sing and
play,, to them,,just another
day,,,
But what I see,,, I hold within,
remembering where
I've been,,,

A photograph crystal clear,,of
time spent here,,,and what
....I see,........ engrained forever
.......in my memory.

agoodguy2have
and a great time was had by all (hopefully) ... while the poet framed it for future nights when kids would read of past days so bright.
