True Gods

Who are the gods?
Existing in a world of their creation

A mass of unbelievable power
Ready, waiting, watching
Enjoying the view while it lasts

Tales of their incredible feats
Heard across the land
Entice others to reach their limits

They shape the world
Relishing its beauty
Ultimate seekers of life
Eventually receivers of death

Guardians of this world
Only ever seen in reflections
Destiny is in our hands
Surly we are the real gods.

ladies1st: an interesting supposition, i'd have to respectfully disagree. we often think we're the gods and in charge of our own destiny, only to find out that is an illusion, good poem though.

Hi, Ladies1st,
It's hard to understand A mass of unbelievable power given our current state of world affairs. The earth's awesome beauty and abundance of life we were born into has suffered greatly at our hands so Guardians of this world Only ever seen in reflections has me thinking. Thank you for sharing.

Hope ur doing fine.
Just wanted to ask u:
Who created u or me?Who created sun and moon and trees and flowers and skies and many other things? Did we create it?No,cause there's a creator who is one and only, who has no partner,no son or daughter,so i think it's good to contemplate before we act or say anything.Thanks.
Ladies1st
Like I said it was only my opinion. Not everyone beleave in a higher power. Yes we did not create the sun and moon etc but we did create the citys and homes. We have adjusted the landscape to how we would like. Sorry if you did not like my poem
