RayninSpain: I'm sure you are very popular with women Lerie.
It was not derogatory in relation to lesbians .. fyi I was the Women's Representative at our Labour Regional Council ... and I am .. with those who know me .. thanks
feelinglost: Based on a statement I was told recently by a woman that said she would not get involved with another man.
I chose the "It's too much like hard work" option It is as well, jeezuz running around after a bloke is like having an extra job but without extra pay or any extra benefits

Well, my vote was that I don't need another person in my life but also I would add to the comment that its too much like hard work. I think between my job, my volunteer work, my home renos that I have enough to deal with and having another person in my life would put even more stress on me. I just don't have the strength to deal with someone and I have nothing to offer a potential partner, so its logical for me to stay single.

I hear you and fully understand what you are saying. I have tried many times but I just don't have the time to give another person my attention. It wasn't fair to the person I was with and it upset them which stressed me out. Last thing I want at the end of a hard day at work is to have to deal with anyone; I like my peace and quiet. However; that is just me and I have lived most of my life this way. Cheers
feelinglost: So what is the point of joining a DATING site?
Oh, I just like the forums on this site. Connecting singles has one of the more interesting discussion sites so every once in a while I come online to join the forums.

Yeh i agree, there's no way you should be with someone if you feel you have to 'deal' with them at the end of the day...

The poll results are interesting, it seems some people see relationships as too much hard work. Its true there are expectations but on both sides. There was a blog on CS it said his wife left with his neighbour that she was a good mother, looked after the home but didn't give him love. I replied, there is a saying "I want a wife and not mother" a mother gives care and loyalty and a wife wants to feel attractive, special and part of the mans life. The guy became offensive because too many men feel a woman is just there to cook etc. like that's the womans duty and that she's no more a person in her own right, that's where marriages fail through lack of respect. You could argue that a woman could do her bit to spice up the marriage to stop the guy straying but I think it's just in the nature of some men to stray from the marriage.
