No, let's look at facts. Jealousy is often learned in life... So it's safe to say young girls don't have that issue. I also think that as women mature they don't experience it as much as when they are younger, and competing for their share of the market.
Jealousy is a wasted emotion... you could be embracing your differences, instead you spend time wondering how you are going to compete against someone else.

This has come a few times on this thread about low self-worth.
I've often thought it the other way round. People maybe think so highly of their own worth, they think they should have everything that everybody else has got, as if its their right.

I often think people's hostility about welfare and equal opportunities is rooted in the jealousy of thinking that someone's getting something, that they're not, without recognising that they've already go more in the first place.
I don't think jealousy is a gender issue by any means. Its a me, me, me issue.

I'm not jealous of material possessions other women have but I am jealous of them if they have beautiful legs. Maybe it's more envy then jealousy. I have short fat tree stumps for legs and there's no way at this point in my old age to diet or exercise them to be beautfil long legs. So that's the extent of my jealousy.
