The US Constitution was written during the time when communications to and from Washington DC was very difficult. Parts of it catered to the pioneers on the outback of the United States at the time. Things moved very slowly with messages back and forth about policies and elections. {Pony Express}
Nowadays, communication is so great and is available to the world in the blink of an eye. Some of the older Constitutional amendments and wording needs to be changed without demeaning the original content and meaning. In other words, it needs to be easier to read.
galrads: So, what would an appropriate update to the u.s. federal government (I presume federal) look like?
I don't know - I am only asking because I keep seeing Americans complain about the government structure on tv. My personal opinion is that if something is not broke then you don't fix it - however I am interested in finding out why some Americans have these views and what changes they would like. I am not posting this because of any hidden agenda as some people like dridiot above seem to believe.
our constitution is never outdated. our politicians in wash d.c. are though. as far as terrorist, like some of our greater leaders with balls would say, kill them (our enemies causing harm to us). too simple. next subject.

I wish I was the constitution-then I wouldn't be on this site...
